The Bank of Castile offers a wide selection of CD terms and interest rates.  Starting from a choice of the shortest term CDs to the longest CDs, some of the present account terms include:  a 6 month CD that has an interest rate of 1.25% APY, a one year CD that has an interest rate of 1.75% APY, an 18 month CD with an interest rate of 2.24% APY and a three year CD that has a rate of 2.00% APY.  Similar to Tompkins Trust Co, also owned by Tompkins Financial, the interest rate on these CDs can be increased if the account holder also opens a True Advantage checking account or a Checking Plus checking account.  With the added bonus provided by opening the checking account, the 6 month CD interest rate increases to 1.50%, the one year CD interest rate increases to 2.00%, the 18 month CD increase to a rate of 2.50% and the three year CD interest increases to 2.25% APY.

There is $1,000 minimum to open the bank CDs.  The bank has a variety of other CD terms to choose from and various consumer banking alternatives from checking and investments to residential mortgages and lines of credit.
