Find a complete list of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's (FDIC) weekly national rates. The national rates listed cover standard bank CDs, jumbo CDs, savings accounts, money market accounts, and interest earning checking accounts. The weekly national rates published are the simple average of rates paid by U.S. depository institutions as calculated by the FDIC.

The latest report includes the national average interest rates for one month CDs, three month CDs, six month CDs, one year CDs, two year CDs, three year CDs, four year CDs, and five year CDs. The weekly report also includes the same maturities for jumbo certificates of deposit. In addition, consumers can review the national rates for variable rate savings accounts, money market accounts, and checking accounts.

Current and historical interest rate data is available for all deposit accounts and maturities. The savings rates and interest checking account rates listed are based on a $2,500.00 tier while the money market rates and CD rates are based on $10,000.00 for standard bank CDs and $100,000.00 deposit amounts for jumbo accounts.

While the rates promulgated by the FDIC are intended to establish appropriate rates caps for less than well capitalized banks, the data presented provides a source on the average rates paid by local, regional and national banks nationwide which can be used by consumers to compare banks rates and facilitate the task of finding the best bank rates for their needs.
