Bank fees on checking accounts and for supplemental services often seem like a trivial expense in which to place a lot of effort in trying to control.  Bank fees are not only rising significantly but these costs that easily controlled, monitored and changed.  The truth is that banks have come up with a variety of tactics to separate you from your money.   There is absolutely no reason to contribute to their profits via these extra bank fees.  Banks earn their profits from the spread on the cost of funds ( savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposits, etc..) and the income earned for using these funds predominantly through loans.  These financial institutions don’t need to earn additional funds by bleeding your accounts with spurious fees.  Review the fees charged by your bank and change banks if the fees are  abnormally high.
