The best one year CD interest rates available nationally showed no change in yield this week based on the current bank CD rate survey of one year CDs from Selectcdrates.com. The average rate for the top ten best one year CD rates remained at 1.53% for the current week.

The highest one year CD rate was also unchanged on the week. The best one year CD rate can be found at three separate banks. The top one year CD rate is 1.55% and is available at Sallie Mae Bank, Flagstar Bank and Ultima Bank Minnesota.

Following the trio of rate leaders is this term category is Bank of Internet. Bank of Internet offers a one year CD that earns a rate one basis point or 1/100 of a percent beneath the bank rate leaders at 1.54%. Another one basis point beneath this rate is the third highest national CD rate with a one year term. The third best one year CD rate can be found at Aurora Bank at 1.53%.

Keeping the yields tight on the list of the top ten best one year CD rates, the next best bank rate is also one basis point below the interest rate of Aurora Bank. Goldwater Bank of Arizona markets a one year CD through their bank branch and online with an interest rate of 1.52%. Two banks nip at the heels of Goldwater Bank with one year CD yields at 1.51%. Nexity Bank and NewDominion Bank are yet another one basis point lower with yields at 1.51% to offer the fifth highest bank CD rate available.

The remaining two banks on this week’s list of the top ten best one year CD rates are also one basis point lower than the preceding rates. The final rate on the list of the top ten best one year CD rates stands at 1.50%. This bank rate is available at a number of banks, the list length dictates that only two more banks are listed and for this week those bank CDs are American Express Bank CD and H & R Block Bank CD.

This week’s list of the top ten best one year term bank rates was little changed from the prior week. Only one bank had reduced their rate on the one year term deposit and one bank raised their rates and jumped smack onto the middle of the list. Aurora Bank altered their CD rate by the smallest of increments, reducing their one year certificate of deposit rate from 1.54% last week to 1.53% in the current week. The Goldwater Bank CD, which was not on last week’s list, raised their one year CD up to 1.52% displacing Acacia Federal Savings Bank which has maintained their rate at 1.50% but list restrictions prevented its return listing.
