WesBanco Bank is offering a new checking account promotion that can earn new checking account holders a bonus of $225.00, but this bank promotion is only good through the end of this year. This is a regional checking account promotion for consumers in the market area served by WesBanco Bank. WesBanco Bank is a large regional bank with over 110 bank branches. The bank branches of WesBanco Bank are located in the states of West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
With the WesBanco Bank checking account promotion, new checking account customers can earn up to $220.00 with a new account. New personal checking account holders can earn $100.00 with a recurring direct deposit of at least $100.00 into the account. WesBanco Bank will automatically credit the new checking accounts with a $100.00 bonus after the second recurring direct deposit of at least $100.00 has take place and is credited within a 90 day period after opening the new bank checking account.
An additional $120.00 can be earned when a new checking account holder uses their new debit card at least 20 times per month for a period of 12 months. New checking account holders that use the debit card that comes with the checking account for just one purchase within 90 days of opening the checking account will receive a $10.00 bonus from the bank. Then, in each of the next eleven calendar months following the month in which the first purchase with the debit card was made, the bank will deposit an additional $10.00 bonus each month when at least 20 debit card point-of-sale purchases are made.
Clearly the conditions that need to be met in order to earn the initial $100.00 bonus are easier than the conditions for the additional $120.00 bonus but, new account holders can earn the first $10.00 of the additional bonus amount with just one transaction and the additional bonus amounts can earned per month instead of requiring consecutive months to earn the bonus.
Additional checking account promotion conditions and restrictions include the following terms:
WesBanco customers with a current checking account, or who transfer funds from an existing WesBanco deposit account, are not eligible for the checking account promotion.
Bonuses earned through the checking account promotion are credited to the account within five business days of the end of the month in which the qualifying purchases were made.
All bonuses based on the new consumer checking account promotions from WesBanco are subject to change without notice and are limited to one per customer.
Customers that have received a new account opening or debit card usage bonus on any previous WesBanco checking account are not eligible for this offer.
Employees are not eligible for checking account promotion bonus offer.
This checking account promotion is valid through December 31, 2010.
