The average yield for five year CDs, as surveyed by SelectCDrates.com in the weekly survey of bank CD rates, remained stable for the week ending April 21, 2010.  The average rate for the top ten best five year CD rates available nationally held firm on the week with an average interest rate of 3.13%. 

The highest CD rate in the survey fell by four basis points or 4/100 of a percent.  The best five year CD interest rate is available at Everbank, unchanged from the previous week but with a slightly lower rate of 3.26%.  The next best five year CD rate available nationally is just one basis point lower.  Two banks, Acacia Federal Savings Bank and iGOBanking, hold the second spot with CD rates at 3.25%.

The third highest rate follows a fair distance behind in yield.  The third highest rate comes from Atlantic Coast bank with an interest rate of 3.15%.  Just one basis point behind this bank is the five year time deposit of State Bank of India.  State Bank of India market their five year CD with an interest rate of 3.14%. 

Dime Direct has the fifth highest five year CD rate available nationally at 3.10%.  A trio banks comes up next, offering the same five year CD yields.  Nationwide Bank, Shelter Bank and Capital One Bank all have five year certificates that earn a rate of 3.05%. 

The final bank on the list of the top ten best five year CD interest rates is Sate Farm Bank.  State Farm promotes their five term bank CD with a rate of 3.05%.
