Bank of America offers a number of different checking account options across the nation.  Bank of America has checking account choices that cover basic, simple checking accounts, full service checking accounts, interest earning checking accounts and online checking accounts. 

The bank checking account products may vary by region, displayed below online options for new checking accounts.  Bank of America may offer additional products and services at the local branch banking centers.  Not all features and bank fees are listed for each account.
1.)  Bank of America eBanking Checking Account

This checking account from Bank of America is designed for customers that do most or all of their banking online.  The account does not have a monthly fee if the account holder chooses online paperless statements and makes their deposits and withdrawals online or by the bank ATM, otherwise the monthly checking account fee is $8.95 per month.

There are no minimum balance requirements for this account.  The checking account comes with online banking and also offers optional bill pay service and free account alerts to manage the account.  Bank of America offers free transfers to and from other Bank of America customers with the account.
2.)  MyAccess Checking

The MyAccess Checking account from Bank of America is a full service checking account option from the bank that offers a wide array of choices for the account holder.

There is a monthly service fee of $12.00 per month with this checking account that can be waived.  There is no monthly maintenance fee when the checking account holder sets up at least one qualifying direct deposit of $250.00 or more each month or maintains an average daily balance of $1,500.00 or more in the account.  There is no minimum balance requirement with the account.

The MyAccess checking account comes with online banking service and the optional bill pay service.  Mobile banking is available and Bank of America provides free transfers to and from other Bank of America customers.
3.)  Prima with Tiered Interest Checking Account

The Prima with Tiered Interest Checking account from Bank of America is an interest earning checking account which is designed for consumers that maintain higher balances with the bank.  This is a variable interest rate bearing checking account.

The minimum opening balance requirement for this checking account is just $100.00 but there is a monthly fee if certain conditions are not met.  The checking account has a monthly fee of $25.00 that can be waived.  The monthly fee is waived for account holders that maintain a $10,000.00 in combined balances with their checking account, savings account, and CD accounts or have a $15,000.00 outstanding balance on a Bank of America link installment loan or line of credit or any balance on a linked Bank of America first mortgage or the monthly fee can be waived if the account holder maintains at least $15,000.00 in combined total assets in linked brokerage accounts.

The Prima with Tiered Interest Checking account offers customers some perks and extras along with interest on the balances held on a tiered scale.  Customers can receive special rates on select loans and lines of credit with the bank.  The checking account comes with online banking services and bill pay.  Account holders can obtain cashier’s checks or money orders with no.  The checking account offers unlimited check writing with free deluxe checks.  Also available with the account is no rental fee on a standard sized safe deposit box with Bank of America and no transfer fee for overdraft protection transfers from a linked savings or second checking account.
4.)  In Branch Standard Checking Account

Bank of America also offers a standard checking account that is not marketed online.  This is a non interest earning account that has a minimum opening deposit requirement of $100.00.  The checking account offers the same account features and services as the MyAccess Checking account promoted by the bank.

The account has a $14.00 monthly service fee that is waived for account holders that Minimum daily balance of $1,500.00 or more or have an average combined balance in the checking account with linked savings and investment CD accounts of $5,000.00 or more.
